About The Position

We’re looking for an Associate Product Manager to be the interface between the client and the engineering team. You will operate in hardware-heavy industrial settings while focusing on software and systems delivery. You’ll work where devices, services, and operational processes intersect—common in advanced manufacturing, industrial technology, and other complex systems industries. You’ll help internal Oxalis teams learn quickly and deliver meaningful outcomes to our clients. You’ll join a small, senior engineering team and serve as the bridge between customer intent and buildable product. The rhythm is iterative: scope, ship, observe, and adjust. Success looks like clear problem framing, practical tradeoffs, crisp documentation, and steady alignment across customer, product, and engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to make sense of complex customer needs and translate them into right‑sized, testable work for engineering teams.
  • Prior exposure to customer discovery interviews, usability testing, pilot cycles, or simple instrumentation that helps validate direction.
  • Awareness of operational realities in manufacturing or industrial settings, including reliability, safety, change control, and supplier constraints.
  • Learn and internalize the boundaries of what our products and teams can deliver, shaping customer goals into buildable scopes aligned with our capabilities.
  • Experience coordinating cross‑functional work in software projects that interact with hardware‑heavy client systems.
  • Evidence of turning complicated problems into shipped outcomes that deliver value.
  • Familiarity with iterative delivery and core product artifacts such as backlogs, acceptance criteria, and demos.
  • Ability to visualize flows with lightweight diagrams when words are not enough.
  • Clear, structured writing that reduces ambiguity and accelerates decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Observe real-world usage through demos, pilots, on-site interactions, and basic operational metrics; turn findings into prioritized product requirements.
  • Ask precise questions, interpret intent into actionable plans, and help teams make pragmatic decisions early in the process.
  • Translate customer problems into clear, testable requirements and concise user stories that guide engineering work.
  • Partner with engineering to clarify flows across systems and user interactions; identify potential failure modes early and recommend the best viable path forward.
  • Operate with concise feedback cycles: plan, ship, learn, iterate.
  • Document decisions, acceptance criteria, and edge cases so the team stays aligned and can move quickly.
  • Maintain an organized workflow that gives stakeholders an accurate view of scope, status, dependencies, and trade-offs.
