About The Position

The Associate Product Manager supports the development efforts of a new web-based assessment platform for literacy skills in early elementary education. This person will run an Agile development process, attend weekly sprint ceremonies, and track progress of the team against prioritized objectives. This person will prioritize and plan out weekly sprints to determine what the team is focused on. They will also organize and participate in user research around emerging features, and help evaluate work to determine if it is complete and up to the appropriate standards. This person will support the Product Manager in determining the longer-term roadmap for the platform to inform strategic planning, and ongoing operations. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $78,900 - $167,300 (Annual Rate). Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and one or more years of relevant experience and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Ability to identify key issues critical to the organization's need and the success of a desired product, service and enhancement.
  • Ability to research, collect and analyze targeted information to use in determining product options or alternatives.
  • Proficient organization and project management skills.
  • Proficient oral communication skills to effectively convey and explain information.
  • Proficient written communications skills to draft clear, concise documentation, reports and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Working knowledge of product development concepts, practices, standards and processes.
