JOB MISSION: As Associate Product Manager, Race Day , you are a key member of the Running Global Business Unit executing the Performance Running line plan with a strong focus on the Race Day Athlete. You are both a product and consumer expert for New Balance, with experience guiding teams through the entire cross-functional product creation process. You are working on a team that is creating industry leading performance running product with the goal of making runners better every day. You have a passion for Road Racing and Track and Field.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field relevant to the product management role.
2-3 years’ experience in a relevant product management or merchandising role.
Experience managing footwear products from concept to commercialization through the product creation process.
Passion and creativity for footwear with a skilled knowledge of shoe construction as well as improving the experience and performance of runners.
Proven leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and inspire multiple cross functional groups.
Organized, strategic thinker with deep understanding of and experience assessing global consumer needs.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills, strong analytical skills and action-oriented approach to utilizing data to drive decision making and results.

Responsibilities

Support the creation and execution of a product line strategically aligned with the needs of the global running consumer.
Be a product marketer, building and telling stories that are informed and built with athlete insights.
Creatively inspire design and marketing teams, inclusive of building compelling design and marketing briefs.
Support the running category, collaborating on a long-term vision for performance running.
Conduct market research with a strong POV and passion for the Race Day space, and how running product enhances the experience of the runner.
Achieve sales revenue, unit margins, and brand share objectives for the running business unit.
Incorporate information from Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, Design, Development, and Global Marketing to effectively bring to market specific products and product lines.
Serve as global business unit consumer & data lead by collaborating with Direct-to-Consumer Merchandising, Consumer Insights and Global Merchandising to uncover and analyze consumer, industry and sell-through data and future trends to drive product creation.
Act as a category spokesperson with internal and external audiences to maximize the successful execution of product initiatives in the marketplace.
