As an investment professional, you will primarily execute, manage, and create value in equity, tax equity, debt, and/or structured financings. You will also have opportunities to advance strategic initiatives and project development spanning the GE Vernova portfolio of energy transition technologies, such as wind, gas power, electrification, small modular nuclear, direct air capture, and more. This position is located in our Stamford, CT office and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule according to company policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years or MBA with 1+ years of progressive professional experience in project finance / infrastructure finance, or exposure to large commercial transactions in a related field such as accounting, commodities, corporate finance/M&A, energy project development, or strategic management consulting.
  • 1+ years of experience with financial modeling, valuation, and business and financial analysis skills.
  • 1+ years of experience preparing and delivering presentations to management and peers.
  • Demonstrated experience leading small project groups and or teams
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must comply with pre-employment screening, including drug testing, reference verification, and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Energy Project Development and markets.
  • Skilled communicator who writes clearly and concisely.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with motivation to work through ambiguity and collaborate to problem solve across GE Vernova businesses.
  • MBA or Chartered Financial Analyst designation or candidate.
  • Quantitative or finance academic background with a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Responsibilities

  • Execute due diligence and underwriting of large and complex energy project finance investments, including review of legal documentation and consultant reports such as market studies and independent engineer reports.
  • Perform financial and valuation analysis on projects and companies.
  • Prepare detailed financial models and developing and running sensitivity analyses on market, technical, financing, taxation, and other drivers.
  • Present and defend analyses and approval requests to senior leadership with a clear and consistent approach to mitigate project risks.
  • Protect and realize the value of portfolio investments through monitoring key performance indicators, evaluating project modifications/restructurings, and executing asset sales.
  • Train and mentor junior investment professionals on a deal-by-deal basis.
  • Support GE Vernova strategic initiatives, special projects, and new business development opportunities.
