The Associate National Account Manager (Associate NAM) supports the National Accounts team by assisting with relationship management, sales execution, and account growth initiatives for national contractor accounts. This role partners closely with National Account Managers and cross‑functional teams to help execute account plans, respond to customer needs, and drive profitable growth while developing the skills required to progress into a full National Account Manager role.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in sales, account management, or a customer‑facing role with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify opportunities, and support sales strategy execution.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow‑

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in wholesale distribution, contractor sales, or the green industry is preferred but not required.
  • Exposure to strategic selling concepts and the sales cycle; experience supporting larger or complex customers is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise leveraging CRM platforms (Salesforce a plus) to drive pipeline visibility, forecast accuracy, and data‑informed sales strategy preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred experience includes the ability to filter and sort data and use basic formulas in Excel, as well as prepare clear, professional internal presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support National Account Managers in the execution of sales growth and business development strategies for national contractor accounts.
  • Assist in maintaining and developing strong relationships with customer contacts to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of National Account Sales Plans focused on share growth and margin improvement.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional partners (marketing, category development, procurement, credit, operations) to support account initiatives and customer needs.
  • Participate in responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), including gathering information, preparing materials, and supporting presentations.
  • Leverage CRM tools to manage and track account activity, document customer interactions, and report on sales performance and growth opportunities to drive pipeline rigor, forecast accuracy, and accountability.
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and customer needs, escalating insights to the National Account Manager.
  • Maintain knowledge of SiteOne products, services, and capabilities to effectively communicate value to customers.
  • Manage a small or developmental book of business, as assigned, with a focus on learning account ownership and driving incremental growth.
