Associate IT Project Manager - Info Systems
About The Position
The role of the Associate IT Project Manager is to assist a Project Manager in the planning, execution, and finalizing of a project according to set objectives and timelines. The Associate Project Manager functions under the supervision of the Director of the IT PMO and/or designated. Project Manager. Responsibilities include acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and potentially third-party vendors to deliver projects according to plan. The Associate IT Project Manager must be a great communicator, tactful, diplomatic, problem solver, thinker, analyzer, and possess the ability to understand and respond to client#s needs in a rapidly changing business environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor#s degree in Business or Health Care Sciences or equivalent
- 3-5 years# experience in related field
- Knowledge of PMI Methodology and PMBOK required
- CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification required with 3,500 hours leading and directing projects, 35 hours of project management education
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem solving skills and a collaborative approach to meeting clients# needs
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with scheduled deadlines
- Analytical skills with the ability to develop solutions derived from researching documentation
- Proficient in MS-Office and project management applications
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Information Technology environment preferred
- Experience in Agile teams and ITIL / ITSM certifications are preferred
