About The Position

This role sits within the global Internal Communications team, a high-impact group focused on engaging and connecting with DoorDash’s most important audience: our employees. We are responsible for leading employee communications centered around our company-wide strategy, business goals, and financial results to ensure employees understand DoorDash’s near- and long-term vision. This team works cross-functionally with key business stakeholders, touching every corner of the organization. About the Role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, this role partners in and owns components of the development and execution of high-priority internal communications across DoorDash. This includes: company-wide announcements, executive messaging, and time-sensitive updates including crisis and reactive communications. This role is ideal for an early-career communications professional (3–5 years experience) who is a strong writer, highly organized, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments. You will partner closely with the Senior Manager to translate complex or evolving information into clear, effective communications for employees. This role will involve: Drafting, editing and shaping internal communications, including announcements, leadership messages, FAQs, and intranet content. Supporting the execution of high-priority communications, including organizational updates, company-wide moments, and time-sensitive messaging. Owning execution of defined communications workstreams. Managing timelines and driving coordination across stakeholders to ensure communications are delivered accurately and on time. Publishing and maintaining content across internal channels (The Block, Slack, email), ensuring quality and consistency. Synthesizing inputs from cross-functional partners and shaping the messaging into clear, structured drafts. Identifying gaps, risks, or opportunities in communications and proactively proposing solutions. Supporting preparation for company-wide communications moments (e.g. All Hands, major company announcements), including materials and logistics coordination. Assisting with content updates, version control, and quality assurance for sensitive communications. You will… Support high-impact communications: Help bring clarity to complex topics by drafting and refining internal messaging. Execute with precision: Ensure communications are well-organized, accurate, timely, and well-coordinated across stakeholders and channels. Learn and grow: Develop skills in corporate, executive, and change communications with mentorship from senior team members. Requirements

  • You have 3–5 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related field.
  • You thrive in high-stakes, fast-paced environments and working across global timezones.
  • You are a strong writer and editor, with the ability to turn rough inputs into clear, concise messaging.
  • You have strong project management skills, able to synthesize complex information into clear, well-structured documents.
  • You are highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • You exercise sound judgment and handle sensitive information with care.
  • You are collaborative, responsive, and proactive in driving work forward.
  • You have the ability to take ownership of projects or workstreams end-to-end with minimal guidance.
