About The Position

The L3 Harris Integrated Systems & Encryption division within the Space and Mission Systems segment is seeking a highly motivated Associate, HR Business Partner for our Camden, NJ site. This onsite role will report to the Integrated Systems & Encryption division HR Director and will support HR strategies with business objectives. The selected candidate will be instrumental in ensuring effective workforce utilization to achieve organizational goals and will analyze workforce data to identify trends and forecast staffing needs. They will also ensure compliance and provide guidance and support to management on labor-related issues and will develop and implement innovative strategies to attract top talent and retain high-performing employees. The ideal candidate has a solution-focused mindset for resolving issues and enhancing processes and experience using data to drive insights for senior leadership to support business objectives and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or have completed a Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months
  • Experience in managing multiple projects
  • Ability to influence and problem solve in the areas of compensation, employee and labor relations, talent assessment, performance management, talent acquisition and employee relations
  • Exercises independent discretion and judgment as required to achieve desired outcomes
  • Strong attention to quality, process detail and the use of standard Microsoft office tools including Excel (Vlookups, and pivot tables)
  • Experience with managing timely deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track multiple HR projects, ensuring timely completion of deliverables
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to labor relations activities
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Manage data in HRIS systems and create analysis using Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
  • Schedule meetings, coordinate logistics, and prepare materials for labor-management discussions
  • Organize and maintain collective bargaining agreement (CBA) files and documentation
  • Support compliance tracking and reporting requirements
  • Assist with grievance documentation and case file management
  • Participate in labor-management meetings and union-related discussions as observer/support
  • Assist with research on labor law, contract language, and past practices
  • Support grievance administration process by tracking cases and maintaining timelines
  • Learn contract interpretation and administration under senior labor relations guidance
  • Contribute to preparation materials for collective bargaining sessions
  • Help coordinate communication between management, employees, and union representatives
  • Shadow experienced labor relations professionals during investigations and meetings
  • Participate in training on NLRA, grievance handling, and labor relations best practices
