About The Position

This role is 100% onsite, Monday–Friday, and you will serve as the sole HR presence at the location—ideal for someone who thrives in an environment where they can truly own their work and make a visible impact. Strong knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and employee relations is essential, and union experience is strongly preferred. Success in this role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to influence leaders at all levels. The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor to site leadership, providing hands‑on HR support that drives business performance, talent development, and workforce engagement. This role partners closely with operations leaders to deliver effective people strategies, ensure compliance, and foster a safe, inclusive, and high‑performing work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, or a related field (or equivalent HR experience, training, or certification)
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR or related experience
  • Working knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and employee relations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities; comfortable working in fast‑paced and ambiguous environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Partner with site leadership to support business objectives, employee engagement, and workforce planning
  • Lead and support talent management initiatives, including coaching, development planning, succession planning, and talent reviews
  • Collaborating with Talent Acquisition and HR Centers of Excellence to develop and execute effective staffing strategies
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on compensation philosophy, pay‑for‑performance practices, and total rewards alignment
  • Support and participate in employee relations matters and workplace investigations in partnership with senior HR leadership
  • Lead, develop, and mentor HR team members to strengthen capability and performance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, government reporting requirements, and collective bargaining agreements
  • Analyze workforce data (absenteeism, turnover, trends) to recommend data‑driven improvements
  • Support site-level payroll, benefits, and leave administration processes
  • Communicate and implement corporate HR programs and initiatives at the site level
