About The Position

Under the direction of the supervisor, the Associate Electronic Technician shall become familiar with the company SOP and departmental WI. The technician shall inspect, diagnose and repair Olympus and Olympus-related electronic products. Familiarize variety of test equipment to diagnose and make repairs. Completes and maintains accurate service records both electronically and manually. Ensures that safe work practices are employed by observing guidelines established or enforced by Olympus.Job Duties This entry-level Technician acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. Following the successful completion of technical training and completion of an initial skill set, the Associate Electronics Technician will perform repairs to Olympus or Olympus-related electronics devices. Responsible for asset pass/fail inspection, cleaning and conducting electrical safety check of the products. The Technician must be able to reach and maintain acceptable levels of productivity and quality, requisite with the amount of time in job. The Technician must understand and accept the responsibility to ensure the safety of all Olympus or Olympus-related products that are repaired, by following established processes and procedures. Proactively participates in the quality systems, quality improvement and “5S” programs as directed by the Supervisor and/or Manager. Maintains confidentiality of documents and processes. The Technician must accomplish these objectives while maintaining a clean, well-organized work environment. The Technician will be expected to maintain acceptable standards for attendance and punctuality, and as a condition of employment, work overtime as needed. Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have sufficient manual dexterity with small hand tools.
  • Experience or ability to work with test equipment (such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and pattern generators).
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • The ability to read and follow manuals, work instructions, job standards and related information.
  • Possess basic computer skills (including keyboard and mouse skills.
  • Must be customer focused/oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • AA/AS degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering preferred or 2 years equivalent knowledge and responsibilities in the Electronics/Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering technical field.
