This plant is one of Lilly’s most technically advanced manufacturing sites. The Supply Chain will be highly integrated, minimizing inventory holding, utilizing reusable/returnable containers and pallets in closed loop system design. Responsibilities: This position provides warehouse and logistics support to all operations at the site (parenteral, device assembly, and packaging). The Associate Director for Warehouse & Logistics Operations is responsible for the management of daily operations which includes: The coordination of staffing. Technical and operational leadership of the Intralogistics (ILS) Process Team by having deep understanding of Logistics & robotics systems. Oversight of all warehouses, logistics processes, and Intralogistics operations (shipping, receiving, storage, and supplying materials to production lines). This position is positioned as a connection between operational teams and is responsible for leading and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role will: Be Responsible for leading the Intralogistics (ILS) Process Team: Provide leadership and develop objectives to deliver area business plans as it relates to safety, quality, people development, reliability, and customer service. Manage dock-to-dock strategy and serve as technical leader of the state of the art highly automated logistics system inclusive of an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). Partner with Logistics Engineering to optimize and streamline ILS operations. Maintain metrics to measure performance against business objectives and make necessary changes to improve performance and develop/implement plans to mitigate gaps. Represent the ILS Process Team in the plant flow teams. Ensure appropriate operations staffing across all shifts. Manage capacity of available warehouse space. Ensure the existence of a safe working environment for Warehouse employees through: Identification of required safety training and monitoring of training compliance. Establishment and monitoring of safety-related behavioral expectations. Sponsorship of the Warehouse & Logistics Safety Team. Establish consistent expectations around quality and compliance, including: Ensuring timely completion of training for self and direct reports. Supporting and/or authoring Warehouse & Logistics deviations and CAPA as necessary. Establishing and maintaining processes that follow GQS requirements for handling, storing, and moving material. Ensures the cleanliness, orderliness, and upkeep of all warehouse areas. Provide a challenging and rewarding environment for Warehouse & Logistics employees through: Establishing and consistently communicating clear performance expectations. Providing direct, timely and appropriate performance feedback. Coaching in the creation of career objectives and the development plans. Establishing ownership and accountability through involving employees in the design and/or implementation of departmental processes and measurements. Ensure consistency of operations across shifts through active engagement on the floor. Challenge Warehouse & Logistics employees to operate in an environment of continuous improvement through: Standardization of processes to facilitate performance repeatability, sustainability, and maximum use of departmental resources through cross-training. Maintaining current documentation for primary departmental processes (i.e., procedures, job aids, process flow diagrams). Establish and promotes relevant technical skills in the department through: Ensuring employees obtain capabilities to operate in a self-sufficient manner in the use of the primary business applications (i.e., SAP / EWM). Establishing the expectation for and coaching employees in the use of a data-driven and analytical approach to problem solving through the use of available application software (i.e., Excel, Power BI, etc.). Other Key Deliverables: Champions key performance through establishment of and/or compliance processes. This role has direct interaction with Regulatory Agencies during Site Inspections. Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of previous warehouse & logistics required, GMP experience preferred. Six Sigma Certification or training is a plus. Understanding of Lean Continuous Improvement tools and practices. Previous Warehouse or Logistics leadership experience including distribution warehouse/technology, and materials management. Experience with high-capacity warehousing design and automated logistics material movement systems (ASRS, AGVs). Additional Skills/Preferences: Leadership skills and confidence to drive for improvement. Ability to communicate and influence effectively across functional groups. Structured thinking and process improvement mindset. Strategic thinking and capability. Capability to prioritize and multi-task effectively. Understanding of GMP processes. The anticipated wage for this position is $127,500 - $204,600 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). Requirements

Responsibilities
