Position Overview The P4 Associate Director – Employer Training & External Engagement Operations builds and strengthens Lilly’s Employer Business-to-Business (B2B) selling capability by leading Employer training development and delivery, incorporating outside‑in insights, and ensuring consistent, compliant field execution. The ideal candidate should be passionate about building a best‑in‑class Employer capability and motivated by the opportunity to shape how Lilly prepares and equips teams to engage employers at scale. They should bring a strong learning and enablement mindset—skilled at translating complex concepts into simple, practical training and tools that drive measurable improvements in field execution and employer decision outcomes. They should be an innovative learning designer, applying modern, outside‑in approaches to strengthen capability building, accelerate performance, and ensure training is grounded in real‑world B2B selling, the employer ecosystem and the Lilly employer strategy. The ideal candidate should also be a high‑impact facilitator and coach, capable of delivering engaging virtual and live experiences that help field teams adopt new behaviors with confidence and consistency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in one or more of the following: training, learning & development, capability building; employer, payer, B2B selling, or account management; commercial, market access, field operations, or strategic enablement.
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role, including but not limited to F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, or L-1.

Responsibilities

  • Capability Building, Content Development & Training Execution Lead outside‑in benchmarking to identify best practices in B2B selling, adult learning, enablement, and employer‑focused capabilities.
  • Build deep expertise in Employer strategy, the benefits ecosystem, CRM decision cycles, B2B selling, and Employer tools to effectively train and coach the field.
  • Incorporate benchmarking and expertise to lead design of the Employer training strategy, curriculum, learning pathways, and reinforcement plans. Align leaders and team to the overall vision and plan.
  • Apply adult learning principles to create simple, effective learning experiences that improve field proficiency and outcomes.
  • Innovate & deliver high‑impact training and field interactions that increase adoption and accelerate field performance.
  • manage the full Medical/Legal/Compliance approval process for training content, ensuring materials meet CIQ, Good Promotional Practices, Red Book, and compliance standards.
  • Identify performance gaps, gather field feedback, analyze insights, and refine training and operational plans for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a connection point across LillyUSA and the Global Customer Office field enablement, strategy and marketing to ensure aligned planning and execution.
  • External Engagement Execution & Field Operations Coordinate field integration across Employer sub-teams, ensuring consistent pull-through of strategy, tools, and training.
  • Own and manage the Employer Field Team Calendar, ensuring coordinated sequencing and reducing operational friction.
  • Lead operational readiness and execution for external engagements, including Congress, P2P events, employer roundtables, and field-facing forums.
  • Ensure all external engagements are executed with excellence, compliance, and alignment with Employer strategy.
  • Agile Capacity & Cross-Functional Coordination Provide flexible support across priority Employer initiatives, including rapid content development, field readiness, operational coordination, and execution support.
