About The Position

This role will be responsible for managing the team that oversees strategic planning and partnerships between Global Conferences and various Business Units within Gartner. This person will support Conferences’ strategic alignment for programs and partnerships such as the Exclusive Member Experience, Research Board, Invitational Programs, Gartner Showcase, Consulting Clinics, among others.

Requirements

  • 10+ years business experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders on global strategic initiatives
  • Proficiency in developing and leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Project management skills including deadline management
  • Leadership skills with the ability to communicate, collaborate, motivate, and execute
  • Proven ability to build and leverage relationships both internally and externally
  • Solution oriented strategy, showing ability to self-motivate and collaborate
  • Strong organizational skills: able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strategic thinker: able to independently work issues through to resolution
  • Executive presence
  • Proactive and decisive with a high sense of urgency, able to work at a fast pace
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Communicative and collaborative with strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to speak clearly and persuasively

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders across global Business Units to develop and execute conference strategies aligned to our priorities and goals
  • Translate Business Unit objectives into actionable plans
  • Lead team of Strategic Program Managers who serve as the strategic liaison between Global Conferences and Business Units, ensuring alignment messaging, timelines, KPIs, and stakeholder expectations
  • Drive clarity and accountability around global targets and performance of Gartner Business Unit’s onsite at our conferences
  • Partner with Conference Program Management to ensure strategic alignment in all activities taking place at a conference
  • Project manage and partner with business units on priority programs and ad hoc requests at conferences - working closely with key Global Conferences partners
  • Drive accountability among team in establishing scalable processes, documentation, and best practices to support consistent global delivery for our internal partners
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of critical documentation of global strategies, playbooks, and operational frameworks
  • Drive prioritization and workload management across multiple global initiatives
  • Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Gartner Business Units to increase awareness of how Global Conferences can help them achieve success
  • Creation and management of a strategies that lead to seamless attendee experience for attendees interacting with Business Units while onsite at a conference
  • Increase executive level participation across strategic initiatives
  • Engagement and effective program management with our business partners across Conferences and our internal partners
  • Successful implantation and alignment of Business Unit strategies that align with Conference priorities and goals

  • A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 93,000 USD - 140,000 USD.
  • In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
