About The Position

This is a high-bar leadership role for an AI-native operator who will own a portfolio like a business, drive revenue growth, and proactively lead clients through the next era of organic visibility, including SEO, AEO, Reddit, and LLM-driven discovery. The primary objective is to grow and retain a $1M+ book of business while building systems that enhance team speed, intelligence, and proactivity. The company, Single Grain Agency, provides enterprise digital marketing services (SEO, Paid media, Creative, CRO, AI-driven growth strategy) and is evolving into a tech-enabled services (TES) company, integrating software, automation, and services. They also operate ClickFlow, an AI-powered content optimization platform, and Karrot, a LinkedIn advertising and landing page platform. The CEO's brand ecosystem (Leveling Up podcast, Marketing School with Neil Patel) provides significant market reach.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience owning or leading a portfolio of high-value accounts.
  • Ability to connect organic visibility directly to pipeline, revenue, and overall business outcomes.
  • Early adopter of AI, actively using it to increase leverage, speed, efficiency, and quality of output, driving measurable business results.
  • Operate proactively and take full ownership of results, anticipating problems before they happen.
  • Strategic thinking to go beyond surface-level SEO and identify real business problems.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and expand accounts through insight.
  • High EQ and strong communication skills to build client confidence, handle pressure, and communicate clearly and directly.
  • Talent development skills to elevate team performance without creating bottlenecks.
  • Deep domain expertise as an AI-native organic visibility operator across SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), Reddit and community-driven discovery, and LLM visibility and AI search.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a mini-GM for a portfolio of 4-6 high-value accounts, responsible for their growth, retention, and strategic direction.
  • Own and grow a $1M+ portfolio, driving ≥20% growth through expansion and new business contributions.
  • Increase Net Revenue Retention to ≥110% and maintain client retention at ≥95%.
  • Act as the primary client escalation point, reducing Head of SEO involvement to ≤10%.
  • Develop proactive account strategies and clear forward-looking roadmaps, identifying and addressing risks and opportunities early.
  • Lead expansion initiatives across AEO, Reddit, and LLM visibility, partnering with sales on new business.
  • Build AI-powered systems and workflows to improve team efficiency by approximately 50%.
  • Elevate manager-level performance and improve account margins and output per manager.
  • Ensure no unforced churn and eliminate reactive behavior across accounts.
  • Systematize the identification and conversion of opportunities, and standardize AEO, Reddit, and LLM visibility monetization.
