Working at Brooklyn Lab is unlike working in a traditional school environment. Our educators know the individual strengths and areas for growth of each of their scholars. By design, our schools are small communities where every scholar is seen, known, and heard. Our faculty understands the value of collaboration. They share best practices across teams and content, engage in weekly professional development, receive individualized feedback from passionate coaches, and work as a team to provide their scholars with a high-quality education. We invite you to be part of a transformation in education and to inspire a diverse group of scholars with a lifelong love of learning. We are an unapologetically college preparation program, and we know that exceptional results require exceptional preparation. To that end, we have an extended school year and school day, from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, to ensure our scholars grow at exceptional levels. The Associate Director of Special Education at Brooklyn Lab plays a vital role in advancing the success and equity of the school community by driving the implementation and daily excellence of Brooklyn Lab Charter Schools’ special education program. Reporting to the Director of Special Education, this position ensures strong IEP compliance, leads high-quality case management, supports and develops staff, and builds meaningful, collaborative relationships with families. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced special education educator or case manager to deepen their impact, shape systems that directly support students, and continue growing toward senior leadership.
