About The Position

Change.org is searching for an Associate Director of Conservative Content to lead and execute our US conservative strategy and communications team to engage conservative audiences and shifting our brand perception, through a range of tactics including highlighting campaigns they care about and bringing trust and participation on our platform. As a key member of our Communications team, you’ll drive a national conservative communications strategy that builds our brand narrative, secures top-tier media coverage, and drives trust and engagement through high-impact storytelling and media relationships. We’re a social impact business (a public benefit company), and the world's largest social change platform with 100 million users, 40,000+ campaigns launched on the site every month, and a 100% user-generated revenue model. Requirements

  • Extensive, high-trust network of key conservative media decision-makers — including senior editors, executive producers, influential journalists. Proven ability to mobilize network to secure high-impact coverage
  • Drives strategic functional alignment across executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners. Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence to advance Change.org’s brand, reputation, and impact.
  • Deep understanding of the evolving conservative media and communications landscape, can identify the most influential platforms and voices. Uses data-driven insights to guide teams in driving awareness, adoption and engagement.
  • Strong executive, corporate and crisis communication skills, both written and verbal, with a track record of influencing diverse audiences, from internal leadership to global media.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in strategic corporate communications, media relations, public affairs, or public relations
  • Proven track record of shaping media narratives and leading successful engagement with top-tier conservative media outlets, including broadcast, digital, print, and emerging platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in securing and sustaining high-profile media coverage that aligns with organizational goals, mitigates reputational risk, and drives meaningful brand and mission outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and drive the strategic development to build and tell our overall brand narrative with conservative audiences.
  • Set and lead a national conservative media engagement strategy to secure top-tier coverage across channels and outlets.
  • Oversee high-impact pitches that shape public discourse, drive awareness, adoption, engagement and trust with conservative audiences.
  • Maintain and grow a global network of high-leverage media relationships across all outlets including editors, producers, journalists, influencers, podcasters, etc.
