About The Position

Global Business Services and Business Optimization The Global Business Services (GBS) Enterprise Optimization and Continuous Operations team is a newly formed organization established to transform Biogen’s business processes with a vision of “Lean and Simple” operations to fuel growth and the innovation pipeline. Further, GBS will provide further value by developing and delivering a suite of business solutions and support services that are valued by internal customers. Part of bringing this cultural change is going to be help create a culture of Continuous Improvement throughout Biogen and helping drive this important change management initiative. The vision of GBS at Biogen is to be recognized as a world-class Global Business Services organization driven by the desire for excellence in its people, business solutions, execution and partnerships with internal customers to develop “Lean and Simple” business solutions founded on the principles of Continuous Improvement. The GBS Business Operations Excellence team will champion building a continuous improvement culture that other parts of the organization will recognize and seek out for business support. We are developing a performance-based culture supported by tools, training, and well-defined accountability, where people can build their career or prepare for a role in the wider business or elsewhere within GBS. We seek individuals who can enhance our team with their knowledge, skills, innovation, collaboration and “can do” attitude. Primary Responsibilities: The GBS Change Management Lead is responsible for managing organizational readiness activities including change management, communications and training. The GBS Change Management Lead is responsible for collaborating with GBS leadership and the various functional areas to identify change management impacts, and oversee the development and implementation of change management plans that address the communications and training requirements of the business, while minimizing disruption to business operations. This resource plans and advises the organizational change management activities of project managers and initiative leaders, who work closely with their customers and peers to ensure change management best practices and principles are integrated within all GBS initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop creative and razor-sharp communications and dynamic training plans that clearly articulate the GBS/Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy so it is widely understood across Biogen
  • Assist the CI leadership to define and execute on regular recurring events that are high-energy, drive cross-functional collaboration and inspire teams to execute new ways of working
  • Integrate organizational readiness activities to ensure the successful implementation and support of project efforts
  • Act as general resource within the GBS organization to develop appropriate organizational readiness support for projects
  • Creates executive leadership materials and communication
