What You Will Do: This Associate Director-level (M6) position reports to the Director for Classified Infrastructure Services within Raytheon Digital Technology. In this role, you will provide leadership and management for the Classified Networking organization. Responsibilities include technical planning, long-term budget planning, technical debt management, solution catalog inputs, and support daily operations. The goal is to deliver stable, proactive, secure, and supportable operational environments. The PDS team establishes the secure digital foundation for program success across all Strategic Business Units (SBUs), delivering and managing integrated and secure solutions in Networking, and advanced system architecture. The PDS Classified Networking Associate Director will lead this team to deliver business value and meet the needs of Raytheon and RTX. This will be achieved by developing and deploying talent and technical capabilities, while strengthening relationships with internal and external peers to ensure the holistic success of the DT organization in meeting strategic digital transformation objectives. This leader will also coordinate with organizations across the enterprise to support the OneRTX roadmaps. Primary responsibilities include managing and developing a team of seven leaders and 110 individual contributors and setting technology direction based on engineering and program needs determined by front-end business architects. The role involves seeking and developing synergies between multiple groups: Classified Networking, Data Center operations, and High-Performance Computing. The goal is to drive standards and proactively innovate solutions in response to evolving security requirements. This position requires vision, strategic planning, and the creation of operational metrics to inform long-term capital investments. This approach will provide Strategic Business Units with the clarity needed regarding options, costs, and solutions for informed investment decisions. Significant focus will be on ensuring alignment with key partners, including peers at Collins and Pratt & Whitney, various engineering disciplines, Digital functional peers, program and SBU leadership, Digital leadership, Global Security Services (GSS) Cyber and program security teams, as well as key suppliers and vendors. This leader will participate in Enterprise councils to represent business requirements and influence priorities and effective collaboration. This leader will also work directly with customers and GSS to align on program security requirements, expectations and any required mitigation and remediation activities. The leader will speak as cognizant authority representing the Classified Networking discipline communicating the capabilities of the organization in a team support model integrated with CDS, Strategic Business Unit teams, Architecture and external teams including Infrastructure Services and Digital Solutions. The following Leadership skills are critical for success in this role: Relationships – Must be able to effectively integrate and establish influence with functional and product line organizations throughout the Raytheon organization. The director brings business value at multiple levels of influence so it should be expected this individual will be apt to be delegated to, and effective in, as Director. Strategy and Execution – Ability to foster the development and execution of critical DT infrastructure strategies within DT and across Engineering, Security, Operations, and Programs. While achieving a trajectory for the team and company, operational requirements must be maintained with related services and solutions delivered at the speed of the business. Employee and Organization Development –Must be able to lead and develop high-performing teams aligned with Raytheon vision, strategy, values and behaviors. Building on a foundation of a strong culture of people development and accountability, the associate Director should embrace creative time management practices as they execute daily. Must also be able to lead DT process improvements and change management efforts to support organizational growth. Technical Acumen - Must have a deep understanding of Networking and the technologies within the DT space, and keen knowledge of at least one functional partner (Engineering, Operations) area working practices. Must be experienced leading the delivery of technical capability (SW/HW Dev, DT Operations, etc.) within a program environment. This will be an on-premises role with the location either in McKinney, TX, or Tucson, Arizona. Relocation support will be available to the applicant as needed to move to either location only as business need dictates. Additionally, occasional Business travel may be necessary to our US Domestic Locations beyond the assigned work locations mostly to visit our Classified Networking team members and customers who are in other locations in the Domestic US.
