The Government Security Compliance (GSC) Associate Director, Classified Cybersecurity is responsible for the successful execution of P&W GSC’s overall cybersecurity program. You will manage all aspects of the international enterprise classified cybersecurity program supporting the Military Engines (ME) portfolio of programs in compliance with applicable U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security laws and regulations. You will lead, manage and mentor a team of 30 cybersecurity managers and professionals in the execution of the cybersecurity program. This role reports directly to the Director, Government Security Compliance. As the Associate Director of Classified Cybersecurity, you will gain deep insights into managing and safeguarding classified information systems in alignment with government regulations and RTX policies. You will lead a team of experienced cybersecurity professionals, ensuring the implementation of cutting-edge security measures to protect critical assets and information.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree with 10+ years of experience in Industrial Security or Industrial Cybersecurity Experience fields, preferably leading teams supporting classified programs and activities; OR Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • IAM Level 3 Certification
  • Active US Government Security Clearance, SECRET level or higher.
  • Ability to obtain TOP SECRET clearance with SAP/SCI access.
  • Ability to meet enhanced security requirements to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree, preferably in cybersecurity, computer science, or IT-related field of study.
  • Multiple industry-recognized security or cybersecurity related professional certifications.
  • Current Top Secret-level U.S. government security clearance.
  • 15+ years of experience leading international cybersecurity programs.
  • 10+ years’ experience as direct supervisor or manager of teams of at least 20 people.
  • Experience managing other people leaders within a team of 20 or more employees.
  • 10+ years’ combined experience in hands-on systems administration/engineering and/or cybersecurity support, preferably of information systems supporting classified programs or activities.
  • Significant experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs.
  • Significant familiarity with U.S. DoD cybersecurity guidance promulgated through CNSSI 1253, DAAPM, and/or JSIG.
  • Experience with DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM) and Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG).
  • Experience assembling and submitting Risk Management Framework packages.
  • Able to resolve numerous difficult and complex problems on a regular basis.
  • Experience managing information systems in multiple countries

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of the cybersecurity program governing the Military Engines portfolio of programs in compliance with applicable U.S. government laws, regulations and policies.
  • Lead teams of experienced cybersecurity managers and professionals who are responsible for the day-to-day cybersecurity compliance program management, monitoring and auditing.
  • Develop, implement and update policies, plans, procedures, and standards that apply to all cybersecurity enclaves.
  • Effectively counsel, coordinate and liaison with U.S. government officials, internal P&W customers, and other 3rd parties as required on matters associated with government cybersecurity compliance.
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with an Enclave Senior Manager as needed.
  • Mentor subordinate managers and team members on professional development, performance and competencies.
  • Develop and execute long-term cybersecurity-related strategy, goals and operational direction in alignment with department-level and internal customer missions and goals.
  • Analyze and improve processes and systems by leveraging past experiences and/or in-depth understanding of best practices in order to improve the competitive position of the organization.
  • Effectively liaison and influence parties within and outside of own organization to accept views/practices, new concepts, and approaches in order to achieve the business mission and goals.
  • Execute other duties as directed by the Director of GSC.
