About The Position

The Associate Compensation Partner supports the North America Compensation function (US & Canada) by delivering specialized analytical and advisory support to HR Business Partners and assigned client groups. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Total Rewards - Americas, the role also maintains a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Compensation Partner for day-to-day guidance and alignment. The Associate is also responsible for core compensation activities, including advanced data analysis, job evaluation for junior and mid-level roles, and preparation of market benchmarking insights.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years' experience in the compensation function of a corporate HR department.
  • Demonstrated experience consulting with HRBPs or business leaders on compensation matters.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities (formulas, pivots, dashboard creation).
  • Experience with job evaluation methodologies, specifically Hay Job Evaluation methodology .
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to present insights effectively.
  • Familiarity with compensation compliance standards and regulations (e.g., FLSA, EEOC).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to perform statistical analysis is a plus.
  • Technology-savvy disposition preferred.
  • Working towards or completion of CCP certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Compensation Partnering & Advisory Support (35%) Partner with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to provide analytical and advisory support for assigned lower-complexity client groups.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs to manage, resolve, and strategize compensation-related issues, ensuring solutions align with business needs and regional compensation frameworks.
  • Prepare compensation recommendations (e.g., offers, promotions, adjustments) and participate in program rollouts.
  • Ensure consistent communication by keeping the Compensation Partner informed on all advisory matters.
  • Data Analysis, Audit & Reporting (25%) Conduct advanced analysis to support compensation planning, recommendations, and decision-making.
  • Build dashboards and reports for HR and business stakeholders.
  • Perform routine audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency of compensation data.
  • Job Evaluation & Job Architecture (15%) Conduct job evaluations for junior and mid-level roles using the Korn Ferry Hay methodology.
  • Support job architecture updates, including catalog maintenance and leveling consistency checks.
  • Market Benchmarking & Pay Insights (10%) Perform market benchmarking for assigned roles, including match identification and data validation.
  • Prepare summaries on market positioning, pay trends, and internal alignment.
  • Support development of market insight dashboards and reporting.
  • Compliance & Policy Support (10%) Assist with compensation compliance activities (e.g., FLSA, EEOC, provincial/state requirements).
  • Review data for governance adherence and support documentation needs.
  • Escalate potential risks or discrepancies to the Compensation Partner.
  • Global & Cross-Functional Project Support (5%) Contribute to select global and cross-functional compensation initiatives through data preparation, research, and documentation.
  • Support coordination and alignment across regional teams.
