About The Position

This role supports the management of product portfolios and category growth strategies by assisting with product evaluations, competitive market research, and collaboration across teams to execute category development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 2+ years of experience in dietary supplement industry and/or product development
  • Proficient with MS Excel
  • Excellent research, presentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in category management and marketing strongly preferred
  • Experience reviewing and/or working with legal contracts preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support regular evaluation of products within assigned categories to identify growth opportunities and potential portfolio gaps
  • Support the development of product upgrade, improvement, and promotional recommendations based on sales and market data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Discovery Research, Legal, Purchasing, and QA/QC to support category projects and product launches
  • Gather and analyze sales reports, market trends, and competitive intelligence to inform category decisions
  • Assist with managing vendor relationships, including coordinating promotional activities
  • Contribute to the preparation of licensing and supplier agreements in partnership with the Legal department under senior guidance
  • Ensure trademarks are used correctly and consistently across labels, ads, the website, and all marketing materials; review before release and coordinate corrections
  • Support the execution of product development initiatives by providing market and competitive insights during early and late stages of development
  • Prepare materials and presentations to communicate category performance and project updates to product development and discovery research teams
  • Assist with customer and consumer feedback collection through surveys and data analysis to better align product offers with market needs
  • Create and update sales tools and product positioning documents for internal teams such as Wholesale and Marketing
  • Assist in identifying and executing opportunities to enhance the Life Extension brand and individual product visibility, including sponsorships, industry awards, and innovative marketing collaborations
  • Support the Category Manager in special projects as assigned, including mentorship opportunities and process improvements
  • Travel as needed to support vendor meetings and team collaboration
  • Two onsite days per week is an essential function of this position
