As an Associate Category Manager, you’ll be part of our team working as a hybrid employee. Category Management is responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing all go-to-market activities for a specific product category and brand through the lifecycle of a product underpinned by a continuous focus on innovation. They develop and implement brand and category strategies underpinned by lifecycle management, conduct regular market analysis and manage the marketing budget allocation. It is important for them to understand their company's overall business strategy and align their category strategy with the company's goals. They also ensure correct brand and channel positioning with a clear and consistent brand message and drive commercial resource allocations. Overall, Category Management drives continuous improvement in processes and function. In this role, you’ll be the category expert within brand & category to deliver strategies that align to the category Strategy Ensuring Implementation Across the Full Product Lifecycle. This role is focused on the new Craftsman Lifestyle/Recreation vertical that has been created to reach DIYers beyond where they are DIYing. It complements the Home, Garage and Outdoor as a fourth vertical.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • 3+ years of experience in a sophisticated environment in brand marketing, finance or sales role.
  • 2+ years of Channel Marketing, Revenue Growth Management, Analytics, or equivalent success.
  • Excellent English communication; Will be expected to collaborate with and influence teams cross-functionally on a regular cadence.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills including the ability to effectively utilize data from multiple sources to drive decisions.
  • Proven track record of driving initiatives from strategy to execution.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining, establishing, and managing the Craftsman Lifestyle Product Portfolio, which includes Fans, Speakers, Lighting.
  • Responsible for driving margin growth, portfolio optimization and strategy through best-in-class analytics, insights, and reporting.
  • Guide market pricing and margin expectations for all new and existing SKUs in the Craftsman Lifestyle Portfolio.
  • Support budget process with tracking and providing inputs for budget allocation decisions made by more senior team members.
  • Build category financial P&L forecast on a bi-annual basis to analyze core and NPD product assortment and margin mix for a 3-year horizon
  • Understand the competitive product assortment, trends in the industry & commercial environment, and translate gaps into opportunities for growth
  • Analyze and define our product range by brand and retail channel
  • Partner with pricing team to establish market-based pricing for NPD and Core SKUs annually and quantify financial impact of any proposed pricing changes at the portfolio and customer account level
  • Provide strategic counsel to cross-functional partners in regard to category strategy, pricing, product assortment, margin and growth expectations, and product launch plans
