About The Position

IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for an Associate Business Operations Analyst, Surety Strategic Initiatives working from our Newark, New Jersey office. This role is part of the Surety Strategic Initiatives team. This role aligns and liaises with the teams and departments across the Surety business unit, and also other areas of the IAT organization (IT, HR, etc.), to address issues, gaps, and opportunities to bolster and to advance the performance of the Surety business unit. This team undertakes a project approach to understanding issues, managing scope, design, development and communication in support of the solutions and improvements. Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent
  • Equivalent is defined as a minimum of 3 years of related experience, specifically with business process re-alignment and organizational design
  • Proven strong analytical skills, especially with spreadsheets, MS PowerPoint presentations, word processing, and visual business process tools such as MS Visio
  • Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, manage details, and execute effective follow through
  • Proven analytical, decision making, and problem -solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Align and liaise with the teams and departments across the Surety business unit, appropriate areas across IAT to address issues and problems affecting the Surety business unit and ability to function as designed.
  • Utilize a project approach to address issues and opportunities within the organization areas.
  • Gather, analyze, and report data related to the performance and quality of the department and make recommendations for improvements to achieve higher efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvements.
  • Assist and support organizational efforts in Optimization, Technology Modernization, Data and Predictive Analytics as they impact the Operations organization.
  • Assist in defining and delivering Operations priorities including Performance Metrics and Reporting
  • Support quality review initiatives and assist with their successful rollout for Operations, Underwriting Support and Accounts Receivable Management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
