About The Position

Qualcomm is seeking to hire an entry-level attorney responsible for automotive contract lifecycles, from drafting and negotiation through execution and ongoing management. This role will report to a senior automotive legal attorney and is critical in helping to promote compliance, minimize risk, and support business objectives through effective contract management and team engagement.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree or international equivalent.
  • Active bar license to practice law in the state or jurisdiction where the employee will be practicing (or ability to obtain upon hiring).
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and initiative, able to work effectively with appropriate oversight.
  • Ability to seek guidance when needed.
  • Effectively manages ambiguity and applies multiple cognitive skills to identify optimal solutions.
  • Utilizes advanced deductive and inductive reasoning and seeks input when addressing challenges, even when information is incomplete or conflicting.
  • Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Applies creativity to generate new ideas and develop solutions in situations lacking established objectives or parameters.
  • Operates within departmental budgetary objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Experience with contract or program management or related work experience.
  • Experience in automotive or technology.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex automotive and commercial contracts, including amendments and related agreements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee and manage contract lifecycles to ensure compliance and fulfillment by all parties, proactively identifying and addressing issues to avoid disputes or delays.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Help advise internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, and risks, ensuring alignment with company policies and strategic objectives.
  • Analyze, interpret, and resolve complex contractual issues, providing clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Participate in discussions and negotiations with customers, vendors, and partners; effectively communicating with team members.
  • Conduct research and analysis to interpret contracts, mitigate legal and business risks, and develop insights that support business objectives.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects, deadlines, and deliverables efficiently, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Make sound, ethical, and timely decisions in complex situations, and support others in make effective decisions.
  • Support and assist with identifying enhancements in contract processes, which may include implementing solutions to promote efficiency, and promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
