We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Analyst to join our Securitized Products investment team. This is a unique opportunity to support a multi-billion dollar portfolio spanning CLOs, CMBS, RMBS, and ABS across institutional and general account mandates. The successful candidate will work closely with sector research analysts and the Securitized Products trader to drive investment research, portfolio surveillance, and trade execution support. This is an ideal role for an early-career professional passionate about investment management and eager to develop technical expertise across securitized markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, math, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a finance, capital markets, or analytical role.
  • Internship experience in structured finance or fixed income is a plus.
  • Experience building financial models or automating analytical processes.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to learn technical details of structured credit instruments.
  • Demonstrated initiative in learning about structured products or credit markets.
  • Basic understanding of securitized products, including CLOs, CMBS, RMBS, and ABS
  • Desire to grow into a long-term investment role within the Securitized Products team.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong proficiency in Excel; familiarity with data tools such as Python, SQL, or VBA is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Intex, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience building financial models or automating analytical processes.
  • A collaborative mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Progress toward the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in research coverage across the CLO, CMBS, RMBS, ABS and Agency MBS sectors by collecting data, building collateral profiles, and conducting performance surveillance on existing positions.
  • Monitor primary and secondary markets, compile deal data, and provide timely market color and valuation assessments to senior team members.
  • Help design and implement scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate position-level and portfolio-level risks.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of analytical tools, including prepayment and credit loss models and sector-level dashboards.
  • Work directly with the securitized products trader to manage order books, monitor execution activity, assess liquidity conditions, and prepare pre-trade analysis.
  • Contribute to ad hoc research initiatives designed to evaluate relative value, emerging risks, and macroeconomic trends impacting securitized products markets.
  • Coordinate with compliance, risk, and operations teams to ensure investment process consistency and accuracy in trade lifecycle documentation.
  • Help maintain surveillance frameworks and support quarterly reporting processes, including the preparation of Board materials, portfolio summaries, and rating agency review inputs.
