Job Description Job Title: Associate, Alternative Investor Services Representative 1 Locations: Braintree, MA | Hybrid Get To Know Us: The Associate, Alternative Investor Services, supports alternative investment clients by processing investor-related activities, maintaining shareholder records, and handling transactions. This entry-level role requires a basic understanding of mutual funds and stock operations and involves working under close supervision to complete standard tasks and provide effective client support.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with 1-2 years of experience in financial services, preferably within alternative investments, fund administration, or investor services.
- Strong understanding of financial instruments and alternative investment structures, such as hedge funds, private equity, and real estate, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively manage and analyze financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and client service, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile investor transactions, including subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and capital calls, while maintaining accurate investor records and updating client databases.
- Prepare and distribute investor statements, capital accounts, and other client-facing reports, and respond to investor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with the calculation and reconciliation of fund performance and investor allocations and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client service.
- Participate in the onboarding of new clients, setup of investor accounts, and identify areas for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in investor services operations.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and assist with ad-hoc projects and reporting as required by management to support the investor services function.
