We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Accountant to join our Corporate Reporting team. In this role, you will help drive the company forward by performing complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of ledger accounts and the development of associated managerial reports and financial statements. As part of a collaborative team, you will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in all accounting functions.

Requirements

  • Strong Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and/or Statutory Accounting Principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced proficiency in Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze financial information.
  • Perform general ledger functions for monthly accounting activity and closings.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Proactively detect, research, and resolve reconciliation items.
  • Analyze and document revenue and expenditure trends and variances in account balances.
  • Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, budgets, and footnote schedules.
  • Analyze revenue and expenditure trends.
  • Work with both internal and external clients to respond to inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), statutory accounting principles, and other relevant accounting processes and guidelines.
