The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach assists the head coach with coaching, recruiting, game day preparation, and travel requirements. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years Basketball Coaching experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Division 1 Basketball Coaching experience

Responsibilities

  • May manage a designated skill development area or group of positions.
  • Instructs student athletes on physical health, team concepts and safety.
  • Instructs student athletes in the rules and fundamentals of their sport.
  • Maintains knowledge of and ensures adherence to all Tarleton State, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations by student athletes and supporting staff.
  • Assists Head Coach with recruiting efforts, travel arrangements, equipment management and game day preparations.
  • This position may be required to perform tasks related to game administration of sporting events hosted by Tarleton State University.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
