About The Position

The Assistant Vice President IT Project Management Operations (PMO) is responsible for facilitating a team that is delivering on an IT program or set of complex IT projects. As the AVP IT PMO, you will define and prioritize program and project objectives, critical success factors, and deliverables. The Assistant VP IT PMO will: Build and maintain relationships with project owners, business stakeholders, resource leaders, technical and business teams Create a shared focus on the importance of achieving results within the team Manage life cycle of projects with traditional software development and Agile principles for strategic projects that range in scope, budget and size, involving significant levels of risk and complexity Oversee business requirement gathering, system requirement creation, and documentation Apply elements of the project management discipline at a high level of rigor, appropriate to the program or project Identify critical-path decisions, make recommendations, and influence outcomes to ensure project advancement Perform other related duties as required and assigned Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, quality, product management, engineering, or operations
  • 3+ years of experience with large-scale project management phases, techniques and tools
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio, and multi-tier application development (user interfaces, application, database)
