The Vice President, Project Management is a senior executive responsible for establishing and leading best-in-class enterprise project management practices within a shared services operating model. This role provides centralized leadership for complex, cross-functional initiatives supporting Life Sciences operations and large-scale contact center environments, ensuring disciplined execution, governance rigor, and scalable performance across the enterprise. The VP owns the enterprise project management framework, drives standardized methodology adoption, and ensures consistent application of project management fundamentals including scope control, financial oversight, schedule discipline, risk mitigation, and benefits realization. This leader is accountable for predictable, on-time, on-budget delivery of strategic initiatives in highly regulated and high-volume service environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification – required and in good standing.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise project management.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and enforcing formal project management methodologies (PMBOK-based or equivalent) at scale.
  • Proven success leading large, complex, cross-functional projects with full lifecycle accountability (initiation through value realization).
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget ownership, forecasting, and capital planning oversight.
  • Experience operating within regulated Life Sciences or healthcare-related environments.
  • Deep understanding of contact center operations and high-volume service delivery models.
  • Extensive experience leading geographically dispersed and remote teams.

  • Experience leading enterprise PMO transformations.
  • Experience with enterprise transformations, M&A integration, or large-scale system implementations (CRM, CCaaS, ERP).

Responsibilities

  • Establish, formalize, and continuously strengthen enterprise-wide project management standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks.
  • Implement disciplined project management fundamentals including: Clear chartering and scope definition Work breakdown structures and integrated master scheduling Budget development and financial tracking Formal risk, issue, and dependency management Structured change control governance Executive reporting and stage-gate reviews
  • Ensure consistent use of tools, templates, KPIs, and delivery metrics across all projects.
  • Drive portfolio prioritization and capacity planning aligned to enterprise strategy and resource constraints.
  • Enforce accountability for delivery outcomes, ensuring initiatives meet defined scope, schedule, cost, quality, and value realization targets.
  • Establish structured executive dashboards that provide transparency into performance, risks, interdependencies, and return on investment.
  • Lead and govern enterprise-level projects delivered through a shared services model, supporting multiple business units, brands, and client programs.
  • Translate enterprise and business-unit strategies into executable, sequenced project roadmaps with clearly defined milestones and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee complex, multi-workstream initiatives including technology implementations, operational transformations, regulatory readiness efforts, and service model evolution.
  • Proactively manage cross-functional interdependencies in environments with competing priorities and shared resources.
  • Ensure regulatory-aware project delivery within Life Sciences and contact center environments.
  • Lead shared services transformation projects, including operating model optimization and service delivery maturity initiatives.
  • Support enterprise change efforts such as growth scaling, new program onboarding, technology modernization, and post-merger integration.
  • Embed project controls and governance mechanisms that scale with organizational growth while maintaining compliance and operational discipline.
  • Drive enterprise-wide adoption of delivery best practices to increase predictability and reduce execution risk.
  • Build and lead high-performing, geographically dispersed enterprise project management teams.
  • Elevate project management capabilities across the organization through coaching, standards enforcement, and structured capability-building programs.
  • Ensure project managers demonstrate strong competency in planning, forecasting, stakeholder management, financial stewardship, and risk mitigation.
  • Establish clear performance expectations tied to delivery outcomes and portfolio health metrics.
  • Develop succession planning and leadership pathways within the enterprise project management function.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on enterprise project health, portfolio trade-offs, and delivery risk.
  • Present concise, data-driven updates to senior stakeholders and the Board when required.
  • Partner closely with Compliance, Quality, IT, Operations, Finance, and Client Leadership to ensure aligned and disciplined execution.
  • Represent enterprise project management in executive forums and client-facing discussions as appropriate.
