About The Position

Crowley Webb is looking for an assistant video editor to support our video production team as they work to assemble recorded raw material into a finished product suitable for broadcasting and online usage. The material may include shot footage, dialogue, sound effects, music, motion graphics, and visual effects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience in a relevant field
  • Minimum of one year work experience in video editing
  • Proficiency of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve
  • Knowledge of 2D special effects and 2D motion graphics
  • Extensive knowledge of editing and techniques, including experience with sound editing
  • Understanding of storytelling, visually and narratively
  • Understanding of (or willingness to learn about) data protection regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA) and commitment to confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, adapt to, and effectively utilize new AI-powered tools, platforms, and methodologies as they emerge
  • Proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Drive
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to prioritize workload and effectively manage timelines and deadlines
  • Unwavering desire to learn more

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with creating 3D animation and using 3D software is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Work with the creative team to create meaningful and engaging videos for clients
  • Oversee file management, which will include organizing and cataloging all raw footage, graphics, audio files, and project assets at the completion of a video shoot
  • Set up projects for editors, which includes syncing audio, creating multicam sequences, generating transcripts, importing art assets, stringing out scripts, and organizing bins according to established company standards
  • Download, transcode, and distribute media as needed by the production team
  • Help the editors maintain a highly organized project from initial edit to final cut, including stages of collaboration, revision, and client feedback
  • Manage the final archiving of completed projects and assets
  • Create basic special effects and 2D motion graphics
  • Work with the creative team to create meaningful and engaging videos for clients
