About The Position

The Video Editor is responsible for assembling, editing, and delivering high-quality motion content that drives brand engagement and supports the retailer's marketing, e-commerce, and social media initiatives. This role requires a creative eye, technical proficiency, and a deep understanding of storytelling for a retail consumer audience. Position Details Work Environment: At Duluth Trading Company, we value face-to-face interactions that foster our culture of learning, creativity, and teamwork. The role is based at our headquarters near Madison, WI. You will work in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays if you prefer. What You’ll Do: Edit and finalize a variety of moving content projects, including product spotlights, brand narratives, social media clips, and internal communications, ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines. Collaborate with the Creative, Marketing, and E-commerce teams to understand project objectives and deliver video assets on time. Manage all aspects of post-production, including logging footage, color correction, sound mixing, motion graphics, and versioning for different platforms (e.g., website, YouTube, Instagram). Maintain and organize the digital asset library, including raw footage and final project files. Stay current with video editing technology, software, and trends in retail advertising and social media. Experience using Adobe C suite including: Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator Understanding of design principles and typographic design when working with technical information or motion graphics. Expertise in post-production workflows including editing, motion graphics, color and sound design. Quality control - Ensure that all assets meet high brand standards regarding specifications, quality and consistency Ability to work on tight deadlines, short turn-arounds and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Manage and organize raw footage, creative assets and asset management systems related to video. Ability to communicate and collaborate with partners from other business functions when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Film Production, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
  • Equivalent work experience will be considered
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Proven experience in video editing, motion graphics, and visual effects, preferably within a brand, retail, e-commerce, or agency environment
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
