The Washington University School of Medicine (WashU Medicine), a global leader in research, teaching, and patient care, seeks an accomplished executive to serve in the newly created role of Assistant Vice Chancellor, Human Resources and Organizational Strategy (AVC). Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the AVC serves as a senior leader within the WashU Office of Human Resources. WashU Medicine is ranked #2 in NIH funding among U.S. medical schools. The AVC serves as a senior advisor to WashU Medicine leadership, offering critical insights and strategic counsel on workforce-related matters that impact the university’s mission and operations. The AVC advises on a broad range of topics, including human resource strategy, organizational design and development, talent management, workforce planning, faculty affairs, clinical operations, business expansion, and integration. They also liaise with our health system partners, BJC Healthcare, on human resources and administrative issues. The AVC works closely with the CHRO to develop and cascade the strategic vision and direction for all areas of human resources at the school of medicine, from recruitment to change management initiatives. They collaborate with leaders of the Centers of Expertise in the WashU Office of Human Resources and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to develop and implement seamless solutions to address WashU Medicine's needs in compensation and benefits, employee relations, talent acquisition/management, analytics and reporting, and HRIS (Workday), among others.
