About The Position

The Arc of Ocean County is looking for an Assistant Transition Coordinator to provide safe, engaging, and meaningful opportunities for Individuals with disabilities in Ocean County. The Assistant Transition Coordinator assists the Transition Coordinator in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a curriculum designed to enhance the skills necessary for program participants to transition to the next phase of employment-based supports. Schedule: 8am-4pm Monday-Friday Pay: $23.83 per hour, Bi-Weekly Pay Schedule

Requirements

At least two years of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities
Ability to supervise, manage, and direct program
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have a Valid NJ Driver’s License with no more than five points
At least one year of longevity with a previous employer
Bachelors Degree in Human Services, Special Education or related area

Responsibilities

Provides training, supervision and support to Transition Specialists.
Ensures quality vocational opportunities for participants to develop, enhance and achieve their employment skills, improve life skills, develop behavior management techniques, integrate into the community and participate in recreation activities on site and in the local community.
Must network and communicate effectively with funding and accreditation sources, supervisors, co-workers, participants, home representatives and community partners.
