The College seeks staff and faculty members who thrive in multicultural academic environments and are committed to access and excellence in higher education. + Administrative tasks including all stages of crew recruitment, onboarding, staffing, required training sessions, payroll, reports, product sourcing, purchasing, vendor relations, accounts payable, reports and tracking. Must understand College and Upper Management priorities and approach, proactively supporting them in all areas of work. + Assist Technical Supervisor in day-to-day operations of the Theater and assist in overseeing the safety practices for crew activities. + Assist the Technical Supervisor advancing events including walkthroughs, crewing, estimating, staffing, work orders, preparing event information for crew, executing smaller events, creating show reports and institutional knowledge, and stage supervision. + Coordinate conferences, college events, CUNY partnerships, and student productions, and other events as assigned serving as liaison between crew and client, ensuring excellent customer service while upholding IATSE contract/crew rules. + Assist management with day-to-day maintenance of facility and equipment to ensure facilities are well maintained and safe for the general public and its users. + Work closely with Director, General Manager, FOH staff, and House Custodian. Assist in building internal and external relationships. Work with Facilities, Public Safety, Custodial and Labor staff when needed. + Manage basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information. + Collect data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. + Update office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s) and social media; maintains department archives and collections. + Conduct internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities. + Maintain department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing. + Provide basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department. + May supervise office staff and student workers. + Basic knowledge of lighting, rigging, carpentry and audio visual with relation to stage productions. + May perform duties of technical supervisor in their absence. + Perform related duties as assigned.
