About The Position

The College of Health Professions invites applications for a Fall 2026 non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor position to support the Department of Health Sciences; undergraduate majors include Health Care Management, Public Health, and Allied Health. Full-time appointment will begin in August 2026. Successful applicants will be able to teach across these majors. Faculty may teach at the undergraduate or graduate level based on expertise and the needs of the department.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in health care management, health services administration, business administration, health economics, health sciences, public health, or related discipline.
  • Education and expertise to teach health care management, public health, and/or allied health courses, including introduction to health care delivery, introduction to public health, and management and leadership in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Faculty are assigned an instructional workload of four (4) course units (three credit hours each) per semester.
  • Providing high quality instruction across a variety of health care management, public health, and/or allied health courses
  • Effective student mentoring and advising
  • Maintaining current industry knowledge
  • Active participation in service to the assigned programs, department, college, and University.
