About The Position

For the Department of Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics, College of Engineering, Drexel University - Philadelphia, PA, contribute to undergraduate design & lab course instructions; mentor students on senior design projects, engage in advancing recently established dept. industry partnerships; advise campus student organizations; develop & teach courses in engineering reliability, systems, robotics & control, design, manufacturing & manufacturing automation, mechatronics & other emerging areas at the undergraduate & graduate level in on-campus, online & hybrid modalities. Contribute to department-wide curriculum development to maintain & improve the instructional program; responsibilities include a teaching load of 30 credits & a service load of six credits per academic year during the fall, winter & spring terms. Rqmts: Ph.D., Doctorate or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; 1 year of experience in the job offered as an Assistant Teaching Professor or 1 year of teaching experience. The required experience must include teaching, course development & individual & student team design project mentoring in systems, robotics & controls, & mechatronics, in both lecture & lab. Experience can be gained while pursuing doctorate degree.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the job offered as an Assistant Teaching Professor or 1 year of teaching experience.
  • The required experience must include teaching, course development & individual & student team design project mentoring in systems, robotics & controls, & mechatronics, in both lecture & lab.
  • Experience can be gained while pursuing doctorate degree.
