The Department of Biology in the College of Science and Health at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse (UWL) invites applications for an academic year, non-tenure-track assistant teaching professor position specializing in anatomy and physiology. This is a renewable non-tenure track instructional position. Our colleague will teach in our two-semester anatomy and physiology lab series. Depending on expertise and department need, this individual may also teach anatomy and physiology lectures and/or other undergraduate courses in our curriculum, like General Biology, Genetics, or Cell Biology. We seek an engaging teacher with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring. Potential t o begin either January 2026 or August 2026. A person in a teaching professor position is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses and advising students. In addition to preparing for and holding classes, teaching involves maintaining currency in the content area related to the teaching assignment, evaluating students’ work, assessing student outcomes, maintaining appropriate records, and holding office hours. This individual will provide service to the department, college, and/or university and is encouraged to engage in service to the community and/or the profession. Other duties may be assigned by the chair or dean. The College of Science & Health (CSH) at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse is the university’s largest college, educating more than half of all undergraduates through programs in the natural, physical, computational, mathematical, and health sciences.
