About The Position
The Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning provides strategic leadership to ensure high-quality teaching and learning across the district. This role oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum, instructional practices, professional learning, and assessment systems that result in deep learning, academic achievement and equitable outcomes for all students. The Assistant Superintendent works collaboratively with district and school leaders to align instructional programs with state standards, district goals, and evidence-based practices. Above all, the Assistant Superintendent's primary purpose is to lead the district's ongoing work to improve student engagement, deepen student learning, and increase academic achievement for all students.
