Assistant Site Manager Department: Program Reports To: Senior Site Manager and/or Site Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly Mission Statement The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota is to do whatever it takes to empower all youth to reach their full potential. Job Description Summary Delivery and supervision of quality programs and activities provided within a designated KIDSTOP/Club site. The Assistant Site Manager will also be needed to pivot to other locations depending on organizational need. This role will assume the full responsibility for the program site in the absence of the Site Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Site & Program Management Meet regularly with program staff to plan and evaluate programming. Prepare weekly and monthly program schedules. Assume full responsibility for the program site in the absence of the Site Manager, this includes morning shift coverage and all-day program coverage. Support and participate in grant-related programs. Engage in special programs and events as needed. Youth Engagement & Development Oversee an environment that supports positive youth development. Promote, stimulate, and encourage youth participation in programs. Assist with new member orientation and integration. Provide guidance and serve as a positive role model for youth members. Staff & Volunteer Support Supervise, guide, mentor staff and volunteers. Assist with training and onboarding of new staff and volunteers. Communicate organizational objectives, standards, and programs effectively. Program Leadership & Coordination Lead diverse program activities across all program areas. Plan, develop, coordinate, promote, and evaluate programs to ensure member safety, program quality, and site appearance. Prepare periodic activity reports and maintain accurate records of attendance, parent accounts, and special events. Parent & Member Relations Assist with parent interactions, including new member information, communication, and conflict resolution. Manage medical and behavioral issues of youth members with care and professionalism. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
  • Ability to interact with parents and deal with the general public.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
  • Ability to maintain and develop partnerships in the community.
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and mobile when supervising either staff or members.
  • CPR and first aid certified.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check
  • Education: High school diploma / GED
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of job experience and/or training.
