WE OFFER: · Major medical & dental insurance · 401K plan with unprecedented matching plan · Paid vacation/holidays RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in overseeing auto operations in an auto service unit to ensure compliance with quality standards Schedule and Dispatch Work: Assign repair orders to technicians based on skill level, availability, and job complexity Contact clients and convince them to bring vehicles to their unit for repairs Assist in overseeing the inspection of automobiles to identify faulty components and facilitate process for repairs Supervise the activities of automotive service technicians to ensure efficient job performance and timely repairs Conduct price negotiations with clients to reach a favorable bargain for both management and client Workflow Management: Monitor progress of vehicles through the service process, ensuring jobs stay on track and deadlines are met Proactive Planning: Anticipate bottlenecks and adjust schedules to maintain efficiency, especially for larger, more complex jobs Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between service advisors and technicians to ensure clarity and minimize delays Process Awareness: Apply organizational and planning skills to streamline operations and improve turnaround times Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work assignments, job status, and completion times Maintain accurate record of all accounts and relevant financial information Customer Focus: Support the service team in delivering timely and high-quality service to customers Assist in the hiring and training of an effective auto service team Monitor inventory to regulate and ensure availability of required vehicle parts Ensure automotive service staff comply with environmental laws and regulations Assist in overseeing the procurement of vehicle parts, automotive equipment and various other items required in an auto service department Evaluate the performance of automotive service staff in order to acknowledge efficient employees and guide under-performing ones Listen to client complaints and assist in addressing their issues and resolving challenges Assign and schedule work duties to auto service staff according to their skills Follow up customers to obtain feedback and ensure they are satisfied with received service Attend workshops and study relevant publications to stay up-to-date with developments in the automotive service industry QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required 2 or 4 year college degree preferred At least 2-5 years of automotive service experience is required Must have experience with dealer management systems Desire to coach and train team to exceed their goals Excellent computer skills needed Excellent customer service skills Ability to be analytical, problem solve and multitask Self-motivated, enthusiastic presence in a team environment Strong written and communications skills Consistent and stable work his Must have valid driver’s license, and clean driving record Lorensen Auto Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
