About The Position

The Assistant Retail Manager needs to be aware of and greet customers entering the Bank. The ARM is responsible for promoting business for the Bank by delivering excellent customer service to existing and potential customers. The ARM provides prompt and efficient service handling transactions, managing a cash drawer, answering inquiries and referring the customer to products and services offered by the Bank. The ARM should be available to work Monday thru Saturday. “Yes, I can!” approach to business.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be able to operate a computer and navigate related software for position.
• Cash handling experience.
• Ability to type.
• Must be able to work well under pressure.
• High degree of accuracy, well organized.
• 3-4 years of retail and/or banking experience.
• Successful completion of skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers or potential customers by telephone, electronically or in person.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
• Provide information on all products offered by the Bank or refer to proper person to handle request.
• Set up new customers in system. Opening accounts as needed.
• Assist customers with consumer lending.
• Assist customers with internet banking.
• Assist customers with safety deposit boxes and maintain records for boxes.
• Assist customers with IRA’s and file reports as needed.
• Assist customers with Certificates of Deposit.
• Maintain customer records and files.
• Prepare reports.
• Answer phones, filing, maintaining supplies.
• Perform all functions of a Customer Service Representative.
• Follow all Bank policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional, business-like appearance.
• Perform other tasks requested by supervisor related to the Bank and its function.
• Supervise daily retail team members up to and including performance reviews.
• Conduct staff meetings as needed.
• Respond to ATM service calls under dual control.
• Respond to alarm calls.
• Oversee branch building and grounds maintenance.
• Assist in past due collections of consumer loans.
• Supervise work time for employees and schedule time off.
