About The Position

STV is currently seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to join our firm based in out Empire State Building office, New York, NY. This is an immediate hire. Assistant Resident Engineers for long term commuter rail reconstruction projects. This individual should be well versed in bridge, rail, highway and deep foundation construction, be capable of managing a 5+ CM/CI staff, possess strong communication, computer, and writing skills and be experienced with CPM Scheduling. Responsibilities include staff supervision and contract administration; managing sub-consultants, managing project costs, change orders and scheduling; safety management and business development. They will act as the main point of contact during construction, and implement the Project Work Plan, Health & Safety Plan, Quality Control Plan, and other documents. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experienced on MTA or Amtrak or other commuter rail construction projects
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills
  • Construction management software experience (CapEx, Site Manager, ECMS, etc.)
