Role Description: Arcadis is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer – Electrical for our team in New York. In this role, you will primarily oversee construction management/engineering field staff for the rehabilitation or replacement of electrical systems and components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in electrical inspection
  • Have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work with Primavera P6, CAD tools and program management tools essential.
  • A problem solver and goal-oriented individual who understands a client’s business needs and able to deliver solutions in a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Possess excellent organization skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize work assignments.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate experience of working in an oversite role in major construction programs.
  • Construction knowledge/contractor-side experience with the ability to be able to apply information management solutions in the context of complex infrastructure projects.
  • Candidate must meet the requirements to obtain a SWAC ID and an Airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) ID.

Responsibilities

  • Complete review and provide feedback for electrical design submissions, coordinate with electrical QA/QC, and coordinate inspections and comment closeout for various electrical scopes for terminal redevelopment programs.
  • Engage and work with our client’s management teams, project teams and stakeholders, to define, gather and coordinate Electrical requirements for airport terminal redevelopment programs
  • Ensure submittals, schedules, insurance, and contract requirements are submitted and approved.
  • Oversee General Contractors and their supply chains to ensure contracted scope is delivered and commissioned on time and to budget, reporting status as required.
  • Manage change in a manner that is fair to our clients and their suppliers.
  • Ensure that changes to designs, schedule or approved budgets are coordinated and integrated with related programs/projects and budget holders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to successful program delivery.

  • The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $135,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
