About The Position

The Assistant Resident Care Director supports the Resident Care Director in all operations of the nursing department. This full-time position requires a blend of leadership, clinical expertise, and strategic planning to address the health and wellness needs of residents. The role is central to providing excellent care, aligning with the company's 'Live Well, Love Life' motto. Some evening and occasional weekend hours are required.

Requirements

Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse completed State-required training.
Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials, and the public.
Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
Physically able to move at least 25 lbs. without assistance.
Physical stamina and ability to assist residents as needed and in emergencies.

Nice To Haves

Previous leadership experience desired.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-move in resident assessments and relay information to the Resident Care Director (RCD).
Have an active role in all resident service plan development and ensure plans are followed.
Help select, hire, support, and mentor Resident Care Assistant (RCA) staff.
Conduct training and in-services for RCAs in accordance with company and state assisted living regulations.
Schedule and conduct regular meetings with resident families, in support of the RCD.
Provide oversight of the S.A.M.M. program for residents.
Provide for emotional and physical comfort and safety of residents.
