The Department of Architectural Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a professional track (non-tenure-line) Assistant Research Professor position within the SHINElab (Smart Human-centered buIlt eNvironmEnt lab for Sustainability, Resilience, and Wellbeing). We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and collaborative individual with a strong background in building system research, data-driven methods, and graduate student mentorship. The SHINElab is an interdisciplinary research group dedicated to advancing innovation at the intersection of technology, engineering, and human well-being. The successful candidate will contribute to developing a sustainable and resilient built environment that promotes the well-being of both humans and the planet. This work will integrate advances in AI, sensing, and energy technologies to develop human-centered smart building and energy system solutions.
