About The Position

The Department of Anthropology at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Research Professor position. Requirements

• The ability to conduct complex literature reviews, including finding and organizing theoretical, historical, and ethnographic reference materials.
• Experience in coding cross-cultural datasets including primary ethnographic materials.
• Experience in coding qualitative interview data.
• Candidates must have completed a PhD by the time of appointment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with evolutionary theoretical approaches and/or foundational texts in anthropology and related fields would be useful.
