About The Position

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), a nonprofit founded in 1943, has grown to be the largest provider of licensed outpatient community mental health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester County. We provide state-of-the-art programs and services and compassionate care to more than 20,000 people of all ages and backgrounds each year. We are currently seeking a dedicated, collaborative Assistant Program Director to join our dynamic Family Matters team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinician who is passionate about supporting children, adolescent, and families through community-based mental health services. Family Matters provides intensive clinical and case management services to youth experiencing significant mental health challenges and to their families throughout southern Westchester County. Services are individualized and wrap around the child and family, and may include family, group, and individual counseling; psychiatric consultation and medication management; crisis intervention and prevention; recreation and respite services; parent education and training; and case management. The salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $90,000.

Requirements

  • NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with youth with mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations.
  • Collaborative and adaptable professional who values continuous learning and teamwork.
  • Strong clinical judgement, supervisory skills, and a team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to travel to homes and community-based sites; Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing one hour per week of formal clinical supervision for each supervisee, and completing required documentation for LMSW or LCSW licensure applications.
  • Delivering clinical services to an assigned caseload.
  • Completing all clinical documentation in accordance with WJCS guidelines and standards.
  • Partnering closely with the Program Director with the supervision of the program and to support staff.
  • Assisting with crisis intervention services, as needed.
