About The Position

The Assistant Program Coordinator supports the daily operations and clinical quality of the ChOICE Program, an integrated treatment and educational setting for children and youth with complex mental health needs. This role provides leadership, structure, and hands-on support to ensure a safe, consistent, and therapeutic environment. By mentoring staff and responding to day-to-day program needs, the Assistant Program Coordinator plays a key role in client stability and program success. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • At least two years’ experience providing direct supports and therapeutic services to children with challenging behaviors and/or mental health diagnoses; one year of which must be with the ChOICE Program.
  • Experience coordinating between multiple services, programs, or agencies or equivalent skills to manage the communication and organization process of helping clients navigate a system of care.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of trauma informed care practices.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex situations in a fast-paced, team-based setting.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention practices.
  • Ability to mentor staff and support consistent program delivery.
  • Valid driver’s license with a strong driving record and access to an insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and support a team of 8-12 Behavioral Interventionists.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and orientation of new staff and students.
  • Coordinate daily floor coverage and respond to staffing or program needs.
  • Support development and implementation of treatment, behavior, and safety plans.
  • Monitor documentation for accuracy and timeliness; coach staff as needed.
  • Provide crisis response, de-escalation, and on-call coverage when assigned.
  • Support therapeutic programming, group activities, and care coordination.
  • Participate in trainings, meetings, and program development initiatives.
