The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking qualified applicants for full-time, tenure-stream faculty at the Assistant Professor level. This tenure-stream faculty position will be responsible for teaching, scholarship, and service. Responsibilities will include teaching and mentoring students in the classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical setting; contribute to course and curriculum development, revision, and delivery utilizing best evidence in content and delivery; support student learning, professional development, and readiness for practice. Expectations also include active, sustained, and impactful engagement in scholarship, including, but not limited to, providing consultation to clinical institutions and/or research studies, conducting educational and/or clinical projects, serving as a reviewer for professional journals, and dissemination through publications and presentations. Faculty members are also expected to participate in service activities that support the school, university, profession, and community. Other duties may be assigned based on department needs. Faculty members receive dedicated time and resources to ensure they can successfully conduct their program of research, disseminate their research, and develop professionally. Faculty promotion opportunities are available for all ranks. Qualifications for these tenure-stream faculty positions include an earned research doctorate (Ph.D.), completion of or currently in postdoctoral training, can demonstrate potential for research productivity, and have a planned program of research that is in alignment with one or more of the research foci within the School of Nursing. The current research foci within the School of Nursing include Digital Health, Genomics, Cancer Survivorship, Aging and Gerontology, Sleep and Circadian Science, Health Services and Policy, Maternal/Perinatal and Reproductive Health, and Nursing Education. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
